The Sagicor SIGMA Corporate Run remains focused on providing vital support to health and child related initiatives in Jamaica.
Our 2017 target is J$60 million to support the following:
- The Bethlehem Home for Abandoned Children (Operated by Missionaries of the Poor) – The Home requires structural repairs to its dormitories as well as equipment and supplies, to include wheelchairs, walkers and transportation to medical facilities. The Home caters to the needs of babies and children who have been abandoned due to physical and other disabilities. Funds raised through the Sigma Run will help to improve the quality of care for those at the institution.
- The Spanish Town Hospital Special Care Unit-The Spanish Town Hospital as the only major hospital serving the St.Catherine Parish requires several pieces of equipment to improve the delivery and quality of care for newborns and young children treated at their special care unit.
- The Mandeville Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)- The Unit is in need of point-of-care arterial blood gas machines, paediatric blood pressure machines as well as vital sign monitors to support babies and children treated at the unit.
